Meet Ken

KEN BRILEY

Ken was born in Stuttgart Germany as a result of his father serving in the U.S. Army and learned the value of hard work at a young age while watching his father serve his country.
Ken grew up in a military environment until 1976 when his father retired from Ft. Knox Kentucky and moved the family to Illinois.
After High School graduation, Ken started his career with the Illinois Department of Corrections where he worked for 24 years. Ken started as a Correctional Officer in 1981 at the old Joliet prison eventually transferring to Stateville Correctional Center in 1996 as a Captain, serving his last 5 years as the Warden at Stateville.

In 2005 Ken graduated from the University of Illinois Police Training Institute earing the Ervin H. Warren Award for Excellence, PTI’s highest award and began working as a police officer in Minooka following graduation, where he is currently employed.

In 2002 Ken married his wife Wendy, together they have 4 children and 4 grandchildren. Ken enjoys bow hunting, spending time on his farm and
watching his grandchildren grow. He and Wendy are longtime residents of Minooka, Illinois.
